Yes, hibernate is enabled. If I switch off sleep / hibernate Skype 3.6 will stay online all night. But I usually want my computer to sleep when it is not being used, and when it does I usually find that Skype 3.6 has switched to Offline (or sometimes Not Available). As I use the PC as a media center, I don't always notice which state Skype is in, as it doesn't display on the media center screen. But friends and family said they couldn't see me on Skype, and when I looked it was always offline.
Now I've reverted back to 3.5 and it is staying online all the time.
