i have a massive problem with video skype. i'll try to give all my specs and describe the problem, maybe someone has an idea on how to fix this
my pc:
sony vaio noteboook
- usb 1.1 (shoudln't matter but well...)
- amd athlon @ 1.3 ghz
- 256 mb ram
- integrated video chip, 8 mb video memory
- microsoft lifecam vx-1000 webcam (with mic)
whenever i start to send my video, the processor load shoots up to 100%, and every 10-20 seconds, my computer COMPLETELY FREEZES (as in, not even the mouse pointer responds) for about 5 seconds. the video freezes much longer on the reciever side, and then it is like 1 minute behind
the incoming video also seems to be having troubles (extreme processor load, ...) but i feel its not as extreme as the outgoing video.
well thats my story, as you see
maybe someone knows a solution? it would be great!
thanks a lot
ps: can this have to do something with directx? (as i had to download it to enable video, but i have the most recent version 9.0c) just guessing though
