Hi i was wondering how many skype people i can talk to at one time. how does it work? how many people could i see at one time.

You can talk up to 10 people at the same time by using the "Add to conference" feature. However, getting up to 4 is very easy but up to 10 is possible, quite tricky though.
You can use Skype video just with one person at a time.
