I want to know how safe the a skype call is if you receive a call via skypeln, or when you place a call to a landline via SKype Out. It says in the help dossiers the connection is encrypted until it reaches the land lines, but this is unclear for me, does this mean it is safe, or can it be eve's dropped from there. I can't find out if encryption is applied on Skypeln.

Can this be answered? Many thanks.

Its ONLY enccrypted at PC end and over internet, as soon as it breaks out of internet to PSTN system, or whils caller is on PSTN side its UNcrypted and hence buggable

That is a clearer answer. So unfortunately any communication that is not skype-skype via pc, is not encrypted and therefore less safe.

Too bad tho.

Correct. PC2PC/file Xfer and chat are 100% encrypted.
SKYPEIN/out @ 50%
