Does anyone know how to remove the Skype link from phone numbers displayed in my emails? I use web-based mail a lot, and every time someone includes their phone number in an email to me, it gets "converted" to a little Skype icon with an American flag and only part of the number showing. I can't read the whole number, so I have to pretend I'm going to call the person on Skype and then the program opens and it takes forever just to read the phone number. I just want to be able to read phone numbers in regular text. I've tried adjusting my Skype advanced options, but it's not working. Please help! I've tried to attach a .jpg of what I'm talking about.

would appear you installed the browser plugin when installing skype. two things, or three, you can do. 1) in your browser window you will see a small skype icon somewhere with numbers running accross it. click on the icon and the plugin should be disabled. 2) uninstall the plugin in the browser. several ways to do this depending on which browser you use. 3) uninstall skype and reinstall it, only this time during the installation process go through the options and ensure browser plugins are not being installed.

Let me know if you managed to get rid of those annoying skype links and I'll let you know how. I was able to finally get them off my system.

I'm having that same issue too. Annoying because I can't see any of the phone numbers that display without seeing the Skype phone icon.

For internet explorer:
Tools/Manage Add-Ons/Enable or Disable Add-ons

Click on Skype entry and click disable.
Repeat for Skype (mastermind)
