I too had certificates stolen from my account and used in Russia. I reported this less than 12 hours after it happened. I have contacted both fraud and support 7 times since August 24 with automated response to most "change your pass word". Shortly after reporting this I got several calls from Russian sounding Skype names so I have had to change my privacy settings. There has been nothing about how this could happen or an offer to replace certificates. I am heading a program that possibably would create over a million new Skype users but have started looking for alternatives, I don't want to hear, "you told me to use it and that it was safe and now I lost money and YOU owe me". Additionally I contacted eBay and got a form email, "change your pass word". The program I am working on is time sensitive thus the many requests for support, just a "we are working on it would have done.

I was also stolen. That was during the days that skype was out of connection. I copy the information about who changed my credit certificates. They were some russian people:

After reading about other cases, I highly suspect that it's an insider job. Someone who works for Skype sold our info.

Erm... That's an important accusation.

You must know Skype employees do not have access to millions of user accounts.

You can contact Support as I suggested and solve the problem, if you wish...

I had 20 certs stolen at this same time.

I have reported this twice and never get anything except the canned reply.

Looks like maybe the rumors of Skype being hacked was true.
Too many people lost too much at the same time the service was gone.

I'd REALLY like my certs back, but it is useless to keep opening tickets.

I got the following two vouchers stolen. Needless to say, I have no idea who traidbrasil or massnutrition1 is. I wrote to Skype support, asking be compensated, but they said more or less "it's your own fault, change your password". Sigh...
