Hello,
I've deleted a contact from my contact list but I would like to know if my name could be erased from the contact list of this person.
Thanks a lot,
Nelson.

No, you cannot delete your name from someone else's contact list, and this should not be changed. Would you like other people to be able to control your contact list? I certainly would not!

Do you want to see a psico-killer watching when you are online?
I certainly would not.
As you can see, it all depends...
Thanks in advance.

  1. It is not because you are one someone's contact list that he can see whether you are online or not. You have to give permission to share your details first. To revoke this permission, block him, and he will no longer see your status.
  2. You have placed him on the contact list yourself. Why would you add a psycho-killer to your contact list? giggle.png
So: do NOT touch my contact list, or else... (I might be that psycho-killer you mentioned bigsmile.png )

Information on blocking people

If you remove from contacts a previously authorised person, can they:
Q1) See you online?
A1) Yes they will still see you online

Q2) Contact you?
A2) They can contact you if you have either allow all contact or allow those you have authorised, but not if you have 'contacts only' and each of these can be set separately for calls or chats.

Q3) Blocked Users
A3) blocked users cannot contact you or see you online in any circumstances unless you have enabled your status to be shown on the web, that URL is not, and can not, be filtered by Skype username as per the privacy options.

Q4) Will other people notice, that I have removed them from my contact list?
A4) No, they won't

When you block somebody, they goes back to ?mark!
Until it’s removed from this list, a Skype user who is blocked will be unable to see the status of or communicate with the user who blocked them.
Users who have been blocked may be unblocked at any time by the user who put the
block in place, simply by removing the blocked user’s name from the blocking list and re-requesting authorization again.

With regard to authorisations:
Authorizations are stored on both sides. So if you had already asked this contact for authorization previously, his/her client has remembered it, and if you now ask again, the response is returned automatically without popping up anything for the remote side, since you already have been authorized previously.

I wanted to delete smone from my contact list, with that he can contact me whenever he wants..but i don't want him on my list. (don't ask). the options i have on my skype privacy settings is just two... allow all to see and only those on my contact list. nopes..nothing about authorised users. this is both for calls as well as chats.

if i delete him from my contact list, will he still be able to see me online?? he has been authorised years ago.

my settings are set to only those on my contact list, given that i only have two options.

thanks

If I remember right if you just remove him from YOUR contacts list he/she will be able to see what you are on line but you will not be able to she when he/she is on line as you have removed them from you list and they way you have you privacy settings set.
