I'm getting a new Vista computer and, as far as I can see, none of the camcorder <--> Skype solutions (WebCamDV, TrackerCam, etc.) offer Vista support yet (heck, WebCamDV, which I use in XP, isn't even in development anymore). Thought I'd post a suggestion/question for Skype personnel -- is development of Skype support for firewire DV in the works at all? I think it would solve lots of problems people are having with USB cameras.
Has anyone gotten a camcorder to work with Vista?

Have you looked at the article under "Important Topics" at the top of this forum, titled "Skype Video and non-webcam hardware under Windows"? There might be something there that will help you; in particular, the "splitcam" program has been useful to a lot of people in a lot of different situations. No idea if it works with, or will help with, FireWire though.

Yeah -- splitcam has a note on their website saying they are working on something that will work in Vista. I also don't like supporting companies involved in providing "adult content." See their list of areas of expertise:
