Full Version: SkypePro from Business Control Panel

I have found it useful to buy SkypeOut credits through the BCP and so avoid having to be charged Euro TVA. However, it seems that I am not allowed to buy the Pro package through the BCP but must do so in a personal capacity & suffer the TVA charge - which is irrecoverable under UK VAT rules.

This seems an unnecessary penalty on Skype's UK business customers without giving them any benefit. Any idea when they can get this sorted out?? Thanks. MilRob

The resolution is to fund an account with enough money to purchase the Skype service that can't be purchased using the Skype control panel.

Huh?

I'm in the USA and would be interested in employing the Control Panel along with SkypePro and SkypeIn. Can I integrate SkypePro with Control Panel? I'm interested in the unlimited domestic calling.

With respect you are missing the point! Why cannot the subcription cost of SkypePro be paid for within the Business Control Panel environment, so that those that are VAT registered can avoid the VAT tax charge which is irrecoverable??

All the other BCP services can be, why exclude this??
I look forward to hearing from someone in Skype who can provide a sensible answer.
Thanks & Happy Christmas one & all!

I see your point, and it does make sense for companies and in countries where VAT is charged. Could you submit a request to enchance the Skype Control Panel logic here:

Hi,

I did exactly this, but when I try to upgrade my account to SkypePro, paying for it with the allocated credits is not an option. Skype demands an new payment form (CC or Paypal) and new funds, so I am sitting here with all this money allocated but I can't buy anything, and apparently the $3 a month charge against the credit is not an option either!

Help!

You are NOT seeing a Yellow Icon with an "S" in it as a payment option to purchase Skype Pro when logged into that account? How much Skype Out credit does that account have?

$20 in that account - how much does it need for that to come up? On my personal account they just deduct $3 a month!

You should see it with $20.00 in that account, logon as that Skype name here:

https://secure.skype.com/store/member/login...=login_required

Under where is says Skype Pro at the top of the account page, click Upgrade.

Yes, I tried that and my only options are Pay with Paypal or Use Another Payment Method. You can see the relevant part of my screenshot showing username and balance here:

Appreciate any help/ideas you have.

That was ridiculously easy. Thanks, I'll let you know if there are any problems with the activation.
