Hi, this is my first time on skype forum. I would like to request for one clarification. I have a website to which i need to add a link to the Skypecast DB. Let me explain giggle.png

If any1 on my website wants to attend/ create a skypecast, they should be able to do so. They can enter all these details in my site itself, and this data should get automatically uploaded into Skypecast DB. Is this possible using the APIs or should we buy some assistance/ tools from Skype for this.

Please do help me with this or if you can point to an earlier discussion thread that might have concluded on this topic, that will be great.

Thanks & A Wonderful Day,

Currently, there is no API interface to provide this.

Actually I'm really glad this question was raised. We've been planning to do something similar - create websites focused on specific categories where people can create and advertise their skypecasts. We have a lot of ideas for this and I'd welcome contact from someone at Skype to discuss the possibilities.

So yes, I'm also very interested in finding a way to create and "host" skypecasts from another site, while still ensuring that Skype gets whatever it is they want out of the interface. I have no interest in hosting skypecasts themselves, just links to skype.com that allow our sites to share information about all available skypecasts, while at the same time allowing us to be very selective about which skypecasts we index and promote. To get it started, we could use the javascript for widgets to get info about skypecasts hosted by specific people, but that's a cludge and I'd rather see something more officially supported for this.

Frankly we think the current skypecasts.skype.com site (so far as a beta) was very poorly done, considering the potential of this offering. It's asking for competition, or shall I say, asking for someone to do it better while accomplishing the same goals. To me, the goals include bringing more people to Skype, monetizing it for interested parties, and overall making this more of an interactive community and part of the world "pop and business consciousness".

Ahem... just an opinion....
