It would be really nice if there would be a tip (in the download section) for all *.deb based system users that they should download the 'Dynamic binary tar.bz2' version.

Otherwize I allways keep thinking if you guys have made it easier for me ;)

Downloading RPM, converting it to DEB with alien and then installing DEB also works fine. So it's a matter of taste wink.png

Indeed that's what I did several times already and it works great.

But it might be useful to fellow Debian users if you could give a comment which of the RPM's best suites this procedure. I keep guessing at the right one and remind myself by looking at what I downloaded in the previous upgrade.

The best would be if you could provide .deb files - even an output of "alien" looks better to me than having to run alien myself - put there as many caveats as you like.
