Full Version: problem ringing the bank using skype for linux beta
Skype Community > English > Skype for Linux

When i ring my bank i have to enter an account number etc. i can do this easily with
Skype for Windows.

however with Skype linux beta the bank cannot "hear" the account number i typed out
on the number pad. I was nearly transferred to a human operator - can you imagine.

beta is generally good - i still have to jhave an .soundrc file to get stereo sound though

DMTF tones work, but you need to know which dialpad to use. When placing a call a window will pop up indicating the call in progress. On this window there is an icon with a dialpad. Click on it and it should bring up a dialpad that will work for number entries as the one you describe.

(DO NOT use the Call Ordinary Phones dialpad, as this currently does not work for this purpose)

thx tmh - maybe the interface could make this more obvious in some way!
