I tried to release those cute little hidden emoticons as I did in the previous release, but when I edited the code on this version, it rendered all emoticons as unavailable crying.png. Any suggestions on what the problem is?

How exactly did you edit the code?

Because I did it the exact way as with the version before, by entirely deleting the "Hidden"-sibling for every hidden emoticon in the Emoticons.plist and it works just fine.

Can you explain it in bit more details so we could understand it fully and hopefully resolve the issue.

Raul the user is most probably trying to add the hidden emoticons to the visible list thus expanding the emoticons menu. If I understood correctly.

Yes, you are correct, and I was able to finally succeed. All is well..... wink.png

Please do tell how?

It's actually pretty simple. You need a program that lets you edit plist files. I use "Property List Editor", which is part of the developer tools that come with every Mac (on the install discs).

ctrl-click (or right-click) on the Skype icon, select "Show package contents" and go to Contents->Resources->Emoticons->Animated Emoticons.SkypeEmoticonset
Here, open the file called Emoticons.plist By checking each of the items, you'll see that some have a "Hidden" attribute set. Either set this to "no" or simply delete it, and you'll see the hidden Emoticons, once you restart Skype.

Have fun wink.png
