Correct. You can get them back through the Blocked People section of Options.

But this is a bug? I think that if you block a contact you don't want to delete it.

I don't consider this a bug, as the user is not actually deleted(?), just hidden from the list. Besides, if I really have a reason to ban someone from contacting me, I sure don't want to see him/her up there in my contact list anyway

If don't want delete a contact from my list if i blocked it. If want to delete a contact i delete it with the delete contact option.

The reason to block a contact for me, is that they don't talk with me but know if he/she is online or not.

Where is the point in knowing someone is online, if he/she is not going to talk to you anyway? Plus, why block them, if they don't talk to you? IMHO the sense of blocking is to get rid of spammers or persons _you_ don't want to talk to (anymore) and don't want to get bugged by them either.

Because sometimes i don't want to a contact knows if i'm connected? I don't want to have blocked people EVERYTIME and i don't say that anywhere, so don't talk about something that i don't say. Sometimes i want to block people that i don't want to talk or see me on their list but SOMETIMES. And then i want to know if they are connected or not.

I guess that a blocked contact is still able to see your online status, but any incoming events from those contacts would be ignored. But I cannot check that at this moment. Maybe the skype implementation is the way you say.

Anyway, IMHO the way you want to do it, would simply be a misuse of that feature. That's what the invisible mode is for. OK, now you might say that to all your other contacts you will also be invisible and you don't want that too. Other IM software is able to handle that via visible and invisible lists, where you can select your visible status based on contacts. So that would be worth an improvement suggestion on Jira.

Please forgive me stupidity......I am hopeless with technical stuff.

If a contact has deleted me or blocked me, would I be able to tell that when I log in? I mean, would they show up as being on-line or would there just be the grey question mark next to their name?
