Full Version: Can't Configure Skype
Skype Community > English > Skype for Linux
MightyPenguin_
I'm running skype on linux via artsdsp and I'm able to send/receive calls. However I can't open any configuration options from the "Toolbar Configure"

I have the both the dynamic and static builds of skype but get the same failure with both. 0_92_0_2

I'm using KDE 3.3 on Slackware 10, patched w/ latest everything official from slack. Athlon XP 2600, SoundBlaster Live, 1gb ram.

Here's my startup output:

artsdsp ./skype

What happens if you try Tools (menu) - Toolbar configure?

Do you mean the dialog for editing toolbar does not work, or you can't access skype's options from there?

From "Toolbar Configure" you can only configure the toolbar, Skype options are available from "File -> Options"

... but when I try to click on any of the icons either in the left or right panes nothing happens.

You need to drag the icons from the left "pane" to the right list, or the other way round. When you press "apply" the toolbar will be updated.
The configuration is based on Drag&Drop!!
And changing the order of the toolbar buttons is also done by drag&drop.

ok, brainfart.

For some reason that just did not look like a drag & drop thing to me at first. I actually thought you did those actions from that location. Oh well. Thanks for the help. I guess I just thought there should be more options.
