Hi all,

I am looking for a box that can accomplish the following:

1. does not require always running computer
2. Combines my regular line phone and skype phone
3. makes use of the existing phone - I am not looking for a cell like phones or headsets. I really want to use my existing , very nice phone with base keypad, a wireless set I can move around with and REALLY GOOD speakerphone.

Also,
I've never seen anything with base keypad? Is it out of fashion?

Cheers,
Barak

Hi there, Go to Radio Shack and buy for $19.95 a D-Link Skype USB Phone Adaptor (use your home phone for Skype and regular calls. Just installed mine. Works Great!

Don't listen to 'Iamadoofus'... his name says it all... ;-)

The D-Link unit requires that your computer be on, all the time -- thereby not a great choice, since your number one feature was a pc-less solution.

At any rate, there is NOT a pc-less adapter that allows you to use your own phone system with Skype. We have no indication when/if this product will hit the market.
