Ongoing problems for months regarding voicemail pick-up. I have contacted customer support and received suggestions that did not work and was finally told that this problem was known and that the latest version would fix the issue. Initially it did and for a couple of days it was actually working according to my settings. But now I am back to the same problem which is that the designated seconds before an unanswered call goes to voicemail is not working correctly. I have logged on an off trying to "force" an update. I have compared my setttings to my account at skype.com. I have reinstalled the newest version of the program (3.5 Beta for Windows) a couple of times and still it does not work. My current settings are checked to send all unanswered calls to voicemail after 10 seconds. The Skype call notification box shows the incomming call comming in and after 10 seconds displays that the call is unanswered BUT the call continues to ring for one minute and 5 seconds (over 20 rings) before being transfered to voicemail. It seems the system doesn't recognize that the call is unanswered and is not triggering the voicemail to engage. (Also, sometimes the call notification box doesn't even display the unanswered call notification at all.) Either way, the call just rings and rings. Of course no caller is going to know to wait (or want to wait) over a minute for voicemail to pick up. I'm obviously very frustrated and dissapointed by this service.

Please change your setitngs regardless what they are now and change them back again, also to receive calls from everyone.

I have done this many times over the months both with the older Skype version and now with 3.5 Beta. Any other suggestions?

I have done this many times over the months both with the older Skype version and now with 3.5 Beta. Any other suggestions?

I found .xml code from a past forum suggestion back in Sept. 06 and tried entering it but this did not work either. I found a suggestion by Skype that a manual refresh of Skype's data traversal information can be helpful and to delete the shared.xml file and restart (recreating the file again). This did not work. As I said before, I have re-downloaded the 3.5 Beta a few times. Nothing I do seems to wake up voicemail to engage immediately after the call is unanswered or rejected.

Remember, the number of seconds I have selected for an unanswered call to be sent to voicemail is working and the call is deemed "unanswered" in the allotted time. But then the call continues to ring for over a minute before voicemail actually picks up. This is unacceptable for business use and I badly need an immediate fix to this issue. Skype support has made no suggestions that worked in the past and has not yet responded to my latest request. Can anyone shed light on this issue?

I forwarded to Support.
