I installed the latest firmware for my Nokia N800. Now I have Skype icon on application list. When I click it, the Skype start-up screen appears but dissapears in two or three seconds. There isn't any kind of options available if I try to click the text Skype on the upper side of the screen when the start up Skype screen is visible.

What should I do to get Skype into the state where I can log in?

Same problem here. Flashed my N800 (German) freshly to the new version and Skype fails to start after 3-4 Secs. Very disappointing. :-(

Mine worked for several calls but now has the same behaviour you're seeing. It starts up, logs in, then dies.

Some other posts suggest that it is related to calls in the call history that have near-zero times. I tried clearing the call history, deleting the skype folder in the home directory, etc without success. I've resigned myself to waiting for a new version.

Hi
Had the same problem - reckoned it was s/w installed on N800, reverted back to earlier backup ~ no good. So searched and downloaded the Skype install again here
http://www.skype.com/go/n800-download
Once installed; it operated fine again - hope this helps ...

Hi, I am having some similar problems. I was able to log into my Skype account, Skype recognized me but I didn't see my contacts ... the page looked more like a page for a new account. I did try to download the latest version using www.skype.com/go/n800-download but was stumped when it asked me to choose your distribution to load and had several icons, all unfamiliar to me. So I just stopped, didn't know what to do next. Anyone know about this list?
