Having constantly had troubles with send DTMF tones, I was advised to upgrade to the Beta version and give it another go.

It's changed from accepting the tones 30% of the time to now not accepting at all. On each press of the key pad the application sends 2 DTMF tones. On listening on the other end of the call they sound very intermittent, some short some long.

This has been a problem ever since I have used Skype and lets down an otherwise faultless application in my view.

Come on Skype, it's teime to sort this one out once and for all.

I'm running Skype on Linux, and have not been able to get outgoing DTMF tones to work. Thus, there is NO JOY in navigating telephone menus. It prevents me from joining conference calls, for instance. What gives? I see there has been previous discussion of this issue. Should it still be a problem?

This is still broken for me, I always use a headset and yet the problems remain.... this ticket has now been closed incorrectly as all the DTMF issues tickets have been. There needs to be accountability of some kind with this problem until it reaches resolution.

There are 2 more tickets open for the same problem:

https://developer.skype.com/jira/browse/SCM-141

https://developer.skype.com/jira/browse/SCM-216

If the DTMF problem is still causing issues.... create a Jira account and comment and vote on these tickets, at some point this bug needs to be escalate to someone that actually gives a crap. I've seen reports on this problem going back more than 2 years now.
