First , please try a system restore to a date prior to your issues. If no joy try below:

Please do a Skype reset

Exit Skype
Start
Run
Type: %appdata%
delete folder "Skype".
Re-run Skype and log in with your data.

Note:
You will need your password to re-log on, and re-set any options from default

I am at Windows (just like Mac) and I did a system restore - it worked - went back to older Skype version, but I had the problem before I went to the beta version....

I do not like to loose everythings what I did in these last days...

Any idea what it could be?????

Si vivo en Espana y lo amo
(yes I live in spain and I love it)

System restore was my next idea, hence I asked winows or Mac.

I suspect a download has changed an audio setting. you can check by clicking on each restore point and seeing what happened

Pleased we / YOU got sorted

take care.

PS. Es muy soleado aqui

PS
A system restore does NOT lose any info/data, only registry/software changes
