Hi,

I have a problem.
I use SuSE 9.1 with a self-compiled qt 3.3.3 and kde 3.3.
I downloaded and installed skype 0.92.0.2-suse.i386.
The program starts. But I can't connect to anyone. And
I can't activate an incoming call.

So, then I uninstalled it and downloaded skype 0.92.0.2 staticQT.
There was the same problem.

So can anyone help me..???
Thx
mcr

Could you try previous version of Skype? I guess you get error "Faild with unknown reason" when you try calling, or someone tries to call you.
Once you downgraded skype, remove ~/.Skype/shared.xml and ~/.Skype/<skypeuser>/config.xml
Don't forget to reconfigure Skype. If the downgraded version works fine, then you are seeing the network issues of Skype version 0.92.0.2.

I had this problem with SuSE 9.1. I fixed it by running:

ldconfig

as root user. That seemed to solve my connection problem. Give it a try as it shouldn't hurt anything.
