Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but is there an API method to cause Skype to attempt to log in with a given username and password?

Currently, this is not supported by the API, you can start skype when Skype is not started using Skype4Com.

However, if that Skype name is not set up to auto-logon, your program will need to wait until the Skype user logs on, and cannot logon for the Skype User.

If the Skype name does auto-logon when you start Skype using Skype4COM you would be automatically logged in, but you cannot tell if the Skype client is set for auto-logon when you start Skype using Skype4COM or the API.
