can't change 'automatically pop up requests for my contact details', away/n\a time, style of chat is enforced to 'skype style', enabled transport and bus.
bug? or feature?

also, there is no toolbar. how to send a file?

here is snapshot of some unchangeable items

right-click on the contact and select Send File?

A bit clumsy, but to change the chat style you can edit ~/.Skype/<loginname>/config.xml and change one line from <ImChatStyle>1</ImChatStyle> to <ImChatStyle>2</ImChatStyle> or whatever.

In the same file, change
<AutoPopupAuthRequest>1</AutoPopupAuthRequest> to <AutoPopupAuthRequest>0</AutoPopupAuthRequest>

and

<AutoAway>5</AutoAway> to
<AutoAway>10</AutoAway> or however long you like.

One thing that apparently can't be changed is the Language setting; this always reverts to en when restarting Skype.

I presume it's an oversight that these options are unchangeable by default.

Afraid not, unless you feel like cutting/pasting the section of the config file with the tagged contact names into a text file and sending that, then asking your contact to paste them into his own config file.
And I've no idea what the equivalent file in Windows looks like.

Hi -- not a bug. These options were explicitly disabled in Options because they're not implemented yet.

Hacking up your config file won't make them work. This goes for auto away, chat style, etc.

As for sending contacts, this is being implemented currently.

If you select multiple people, you can send the file to them all by right-clicking and choosing "Send file to multiple contacts". There will be a shortcut at the top of the chat a bit later on.

Just remember that those Options menu items are disabled for a purpose - they are not implemented yet.

Changing config file will not change anything.
Send Contacts is not implemented in this beta as well.
