Hi all,
I just bought the "Philips VOIP841 cordless phone and Skype Pro" using the offer on the Skype shop at this link...
http://accessories.skype.com/item?SID=1248...ku=BPHIL841PRO2

The hardware arrived today but how do I get Skype Pro activated? It's not been put on my account automatically and there is no Skype Pro voucher in the box. Does anyone know if there should have been a voucher in the box or how this is supposed to work?
The order and the invoice say I ordered the right thing.
regards
Carey

Hi there,

I've th same thing ending up with opening a ticket to Skype (no reply yet).

Questions asked:
1. how to enable SkypePro (same issue as TheUberOverlord)
2. How to move forward with SkypeIN (as stated in description of phone: call and receive landlines)

I hope Skype can help me setting up enabling SkypePro and my SkypIn on this VOIP841.

All help is welcome.
Jerome

I have the same issue, purchased a DualPhone 3088 with Skype Pro and 300 minutes, the box came with a 30 min voucher only and zero details on how to activate Skype Pro.

Incredible! the first time this issue was mention (in this thread) was 18th of June. I have just received my 3088 in September with the same issue. Surely it is not brainsurgery for Skype to see who has bought these phones and send them an email?!

I have sent a request to support, but cannot believe how inefficient this is, responding to each query individually!

Support sorted out the problem after nearly a week of emails back and forth, they eventually sent me a voucher for Skype pro and the full amount of minutes. While support were always helpful I got the impression they really did not want to give out the voucher and I virtually had to demand it.

Quite frankly shocking, I have not heard anything yet. In addition I sent a support request through the shop asking when / if an additional handset for the 3088 will be available. ANSWER: request should not be made to this support category. Where on earth else should it be made?

Also everyone seems to get support "ticket", I havent, just a mail, no number, saying the received my email.

Quite disappointing and quite unnecessary.

Hi,
I have the same problem: I cannot log in. So the phone doesn't work.
I don't know anything about the internet preferences in the phone menue. What can I do?

I have also just bought the VOIP841 from Philips apparently with 6 month sky pro. I have a voucher for 120 minutes, 1 year voicemail but I can't find any info about skype pro in the box. I have submitted a support ticket and am waiting for a reply. Maybe there is some secret code somewhere in the box, if someone has found out how to do this please could they reply to this forum. Thanks

I sent a message to support with the order number, they sent the voucher quite quickly, now all is sorted, keep an eye open for if your offer was a 6 month offer for Skype Pro or a 5 month offer though

Thoughts on using the phone, I like it, easy to use, updates contacts from account, easy to call via landline or via skype, shame it doesn't receive SMS or skype messages though, it works fine otherwise.

Thanks cyclobc, glad you managed to get it sorted and pleased you're liking the phone. I'll pass your suggestion about the SMS onto our product management team and see when we could roll that out...

Cheers, Simon

Hi Simon,

same story here - I've just unpacked and set up my philips cordless phone but have no idea how to realise the Skype Pro offer, I logged a support request about an hour ago...

Thanks,
John.

Yes, I've got the same issue amongst others - the main one is that I've charged by Skype even though they have not delivered what I ordered.

However, having tried and failed to get meaningful contact with Skype via 'tickets' and emails for the past 41 days - I've asked my credit card company to credit the money Skype have taken and I definately will never do business with them again.

Therefore - as I would not be prepared to give Skype my credit card number again - there is little point in me trying to get this voucher out of Skype - after my experience, I would not dream of using any service from Skype which subsequently involves payment.

You can add me to the list please. No voucher, the VOIP841 won't log in AND you charged my credit card £173 for the phone when the order price was £108. What an experience...
