Same here (Gentoo testing x86) with Qt 4.3.0 (-accessibility cups dbus -debug doc examples -firebird gif -glib -input_devices_wacom jpeg -mng -mysql -nas -nis -odbc opengl -pch png -postgres qt3support -sqlite sqlite3 ssl tiff xinerama zlib)

That stinks. It works with 4.2.3

I maintain Skype on Gentoo. That has been fixed in the -r1. So please emerge --sync; emerge -av skype.
That crash is because you have qt built with no accessibility and skype needs that. The new ebuild will tell you to either update your qt or use the static version.
