There is scattered information around the Web about Skype command line options for Windows and for Linux. It would be very nice if the skype binary on Linux would provide info on any available options when invoked with the --help command line argument. I know that you-all have more pressing things to deal with, but this would help those of us who are hobbyists or just idly curious to move forward with integration.

At the moment, there is only 1 command-line option for Linux Skype (other than the standard X/Qt options) and this is:
--dbpath=<path>
Note that the format/casing of this option is strict. Two hyphens followed by dbpath followed by = followed by the path itself. No spaces.
This changes the default ~/.Skype directory to something else of your choosing. It's also useful when testing different things, or if you want to use a separate directory to your 1.3 data for example.
Please keep in mind that unless you copy your old ~/.Skype data to the new directory, you won't have all your history, etc.
