hello
well i have a suggestion for you which i think is realy helpful
well, in older versions of skype, the item "options" in file menu was enable
unfortunatly know in the latest version it is disabled
i will give you 2 situations where you'll see that it is better to keep it enabled
- in version 0.94 i think i installed skype on my computer but 'cause i'm behind a proxy skype could not connect! so i tried to configure the port to 443 in the option menu and it worked perfectly!
- second this holydays i travel to morroco where i don't have an internet connection! unfortunetly i have configured skype to load when windows starts! so every time i switched on my computer skype started and i had to close it evey time! if the option menu was enabled i would have been able to disable skype from starting with windows
so please in futur versions keep the "options" item enabled
thanks
Péter

Option under the File menu is enabled in every single version.
Don't know why it is disabled on your computer.

no i think you don't understand me
open skype and then click on file > disconnect
you will notice that know "options" in file menu is disabled and this is what i'm talking about
in older versions of skype "options" was always enabled !

You probably mean sign off and not disconnect.
I disconnected myself and option was still available.
If you mean sign off than to access options you do need to sign in even if skype is not able to connect afterwards.

But the problem is that you cannot sign in if skype can't connect!!! that's the problem try it if you like
this is why i suggest to let "options" item enabled even if no one has sign in, like in older versions on skype
this would enable to resolve many problems like i said at the top of this topic
