Folks - anyone who can help please

My Skype application has simply stopped working. I have unistalled and reinstalled and the same problem exists. At start up, the green Skype bubble appears in the bottom right-hand corner and claims that Skype is online, but that appears to be where it ends. Clicking on either the green bubble or the launch Skype icon on the desktop does not help. On shut down, I get a message saying that Skype is not responding and I select 'End Program Now' to finish the shutdown process.

Does this have something to do with the new 3.2 version? If so, how do I get Skype running smoothly again.

Skype reset

Warning you must remember your Skype username and password before you do this otherwise you will not be able to log in when you restart Skype because the link to your username and password details will be lost when you delete config.xml and all options are reset to default. You are also advised to backup your contacts list by going to the Main Skype window>…….contacts>…….advanced>……..Backup contacts to file. This will save a yourskypeusername.vcf file to a location on your PC of your choice.

First logoff Skype and shut it down.

Start
Run
Type:%appdata%
Now look for the Skype folder and delete that folder.
Re-run Skype and log in with your data.
