One feature I quite liked from the previous version was the technical information that could be displayed for each call, present under the advanced features page. I didn't need *most* of the technical information, but it made a big difference to call quality as to whether I was using TCP or UDP for sending and/or receiving, and also the number of hops had an influence (although that seemed almost always to read 4, even if it should have been possible for me to establish a direct connection to the other participant).

Ideally I'd like some form of "quality" meter, enabled under advanced options, that showed:
* bandwidth user
* number of hops
* packet dropping ratio
* TCP/UDP status for ingoing and outgoing
* some kind of overall call quality level

This would allow me to determine if any glitches/cut outs/slow downs or whatever was happening to my call were expected because of the connection type (TCP_RELAY for example) and we should reconnect, or if they were just a one off spike and we've got about the best type of connection we could hope for (UDP direct).

It doesn't need all the developer information, and it might be best just at a little level bar or something on the bottom of the call dialog, but the information would be very useful, even potentially to standard users...

Edited to add:
Doh, sorry, it appears this has already been answered in http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=84943. Sorry for the extra thread. I'm off to read the rest of the forum before I make another blunder...
