first, i love that the wallpaper is applied not only to skype but also to the options window.

second, i hate that call forwarding icon...it looks like a pic of a pda.... the old icon in my opinion was simple, yet represented call forwarding just fine. please use the old one again ... pretty please.

and finally, with regards to privacy settings, we only have two options for calls and chats,

- anyone
-only people in my contact list

now there are a lot of people who i authorise but do not add to my contacts list.... now imagine the situation where one does not want chats/calls from "anyone" but wants calls from authorised individuals, but not necessarily in their contacts list.... which option do they go for? i seem to recall previous (non beta) versions had three options, "anyone", "only those who i have authorised", "only those in my contact list". and i believe the previous beta (3.2.0.82?) had the options "anyone", "only those who i have authorised" but not "only those in my contact list"... again, please have all three. thanks

Also, any change people with call forwarding will not be mixed with online contacts? Before they were listed right below online, above offline. If this is now an option, where do I change it?

I have a user trying to connect to another user. Right after they log in to Skype and click on a contact to make a call they receive an error of "No sound recording capabilities". They are sure the headset is plugged in correctly. Any ideas?

I agree with everything you say there Lukman.
Good news! You can vote to get the privacy options fixed,

I don't like the new "offline/forwarding" icon, but I think I know why Skype changed it. Psychology! The old icon wasn't very "inviting" whereas the new one looks like an "online" icon, so people are more likely to call someone when they are offline with call forwarding.

I agree with Luiz - I would prefer if "offline/forwarding" users were listed below the "online" users.

I like the redesign of the options dialog a lot. Very well done.

For some reason, I get every Outlook contact twice. I'm not sure if that's to do with a reset of my Exchange account or if Skype has changed something to make that happen.

thank you for the link, will add comments there too.

with regards to the more inviting icon... i guess my taste is a lil unusual as i feel the orange icon was much more inviting, this new one just seems like they've tried too hard and over-thought it.
