Hi Guys,

This is my first post in this forum so please be kind if I screw up! I have searched the forums to see whether this has been suggested and cannot find a reference to it so here goes....

Would it be possible for a user to be able to reserve a portion of his/her available bandwidth for Skype use. Then, if I want to download a large file, or go to a graphics intensive web site, whilst using Skype the quality of my Skype calls would not degrade.

This could be particularly useful for people with a limited amount of bandwidth to start with.

Hey xtc123!

Sure you can. There are many B/W limiters on the market, like throttle in Net-peeker, as well as the smarts with Skype's File Transfer. But there is not a consisent logic.

Why not just talk, listen, and pay attention. Then move onto other things!

But, yes, you can do it. smile.png smile.png
