I (on Windows 3.2 beta 82 vsn) was chatting with someone using Skype for Mac 2.6 beta and we could not see the indication that the other party was Typing in the Status bar. Yet checking Tools|Advanced the check mark is there for "Show for when I am typing". This is also being reported on the Skype for Mac 2.6 beta forum by the other party.

Both parties have to be on the same version i.e windows OS to windows OS and Mac to Mac then it will work.

Don't buy it. I was able to make it work with a Windows user who was NOT using the beta Windows version.

Jim did you both had this setting enabled?

Rocketman is wrong it works between all Skype clients which support it.
