I have an old, now defunt skype account, that I used for a specific purpose and I fed it from my Paypal account.

That account is now dead, defunt, I no longer use it - but I cannot seem to delete it. I have removed all payment options from it.

However when ever I try to pay into my new Skype account from Paypal it keeps getting refunded - I cannot break the previous link it seems so fall foul of the one skype account only from one paypal account rule.

Short of setting up a secong paypal account is there anything I can do to resolve the issue.

.... and please do not tell me to "raise a ticket" - I have tried that and constantly get told that my request has not been submitted as the answer to my query is in the knowledge base, and listing possible answers. None of these answer my problem - I have looked - honest!
