Spyke is wonderfulm but there is one problem.

I've just tried to limit my connetion to 3 KB send and 3 KB recieve (total 6 KB connection). There was 10 seconds delay! Why?

Could you change audio codec that you use?
There are many codecs which have normal quality with 24 Kbps bitrate.

I'd like to call sister (from Russia to Australia), but she has modem connection. sadsmile.png

Hey alexey99!

I don't think you need to limit your bandwidth. If Skype detects dialup moden at other end it automatically adjust the bandiwidth or selects the narrower band iLBC codec. Skype is smart! smile.png smile.png

Check your sister's upload bandwidth. She needs about 33kbs.

As Bill said,
The codec is set by Skype automatically based on your bandwidth so no need to narrow it yourself.

And I used it on a modem connection and it works well, just tell your sister not to do anything in parallel on the net. I mean she should not use any other application that connects to the net at the time of your conversation.
