Full Version: Quality Control survey takes over a system browser

I highly resent the quality control browser taking over an existing browser on my computer. I lose valuable work this way.

Skype has a way to fix this but they do not make it readily available. I had to reinstall Skype recently and forgot how to override this despicable feature.

I also highly resent the fact the when someone has a question which is not covered anywhere, Skype does not provide a telephone number. I consider this poor customer service indeed.

Any thoughts to share?

1) a possibility is that maybe you do not send your requests to the correct skype departments. tongueout.png in the forums i think u'd be looking for the windows or OS specific subforum as opposed to "skype in the news"

2) to be fair, skype does say if the issue is already detailed somewhere they will not reply

3) it is explained on the forums how one can disable the hijacking of browsers.

4) and here's how to do it incase like me you cant be bothered to search:

(only applies to IE)

tools>internet options>advanced

under the section "browsing"

disable

"reuse windows when launching shortcuts"
