I was looking at the "Skype In" service, and I know that it is currently only in the Beta phase, but, there are no Canadian numbers available.

Does anyone know if Skype will be suporting this moving forward?

Is there someone at Skype to talk to about providing Canadian capacity? I have talked to a few people in the market and they have expressed interest in having a Canadian number to originate from and recieve calls to.

If anyone knows who I can talk to about this, can you please contact me directly?

there are many discussions on this in the forums, try a quick search for canadan skypein. the only way to know when and if it will be avaliable is to simply wait and see if skype ever lists it as being avaliable, as is the case of any other skypein numbers that are not avaliable.

[qu Same here, as soon as it is available, i am skyping in.
I think the main hurdle is to get accepted by FCC telecom canada ( or the sort) to aquires a share of local numbers and to decide in which region and /or province to get theses numbers first. But since all IP phone Compagny are going to wars right now. It should be very easy to get on the same bandwagon.

They should start in the capital region and expend from there.

Lets hope we dont have to wait to long for this to happens.

I am going to buy skypin when this comes available.

Since it is a voip number, and excuse my technical know how, but shouldn't any other voip number from a Canadian provider like rogers or comwave or the zillion others be able to be changed to skype SOMEHOW!!!
