General comments about this would be that work is ongoing to get this done, but it won't happen in the near future I'm afraid as it's a pretty major thing to get done and lots of issue to solve before we can make it public.

If they play it right there could be plenty in it (for Skype and developers). As an analogy, a luxury automobile manufacturer uses a proven engine from another manufacturer. Both parties make money from it and the customer is happy because the vehicle is excellent.

well the additional money they would make from it might seem like significant amount to me but probably not a lot for a ebay/skype. Also there is administrative overhead for them just to evaluate the concept.

But if they wanted to make it that would be cool basically use the function calls in the remote access api but instead of having it talk to the client have it go to a dll.
