The new 3.2 beta enables to import Outlook & Outlook Express contacts. When checking both on the import process and contuning it says "Found 7121 Outlook contacts" and then freezes.
Is this already known?

Do you actually have so many Outlook contacts?
Does it crashes or what it does when you wait, it can take quite a while to search for 7000 contacts in Skype network.

In all groups I do really have 7000 contacts. I waited (with cpu 100% all the time) for 30 minutes and then had to quit Skype via the taskmanager.
It freezes - application not responding). So trying to press the "next" button of course failed.
I regularly do this procedure - but in the recent beta it freezes already when it finishes reading the number of contacts on my computer. It seems it freezes even before it starts synchronising the data over the Internet resp. at the moment when it starts to synchronise.

If there is a error log / crash log somewhere just drop me a line and I will forward it to you.

Can you try to leave it importing for night?
I think that it can take a lot time to check all those contacts.
You can create log files, but you need to enable logging first and it is not advised to have it enabled all the time.

I can try running it for the night - though a 100% cpu usage / frozen app isn't a good sign to me

But I will report back to you.

Well, after waiting over an hour Skype is now looking up contacts in the user-directory it says (and updating %-progress). During that as well as before Skype is not responsive and using the computer during this whole process is hardly possible (as cpu-usage is all the time 100%).

Yes I think the reason is that you have too many contacts to handle for the importer.
But if you had logging now enabled then I would love to get the logs and then we could solve this issue.

The log file is there - where should I send it?

Either E-Mail or Upload (ftp).
