Full Version: Call on hold....

I'm currently on Skype ver. 3.2.0.53 and noticed something strange. When I have a conversation with someone and that person puts the call on hold on my side the "hold the call" button is still active and I can press it. When I press it it displays "Call on hold" but actually the call was already held by the other participant. I don't think that when one of the participants holds the call the "hold the call" button for the other person should be active. According to me the button should be greyed out for participant №2 until participant №1 who put the call on hold resumes it. Then when the call has been resumed by participant №1 participant №2 should be able to hold it.

It sounds confusing but I hope you understood wasntme.png

Not quite... is this causing some trouble during the call or is it somewhat inconvenient or what is the problem when it is like it is now? Thanks.

I suspect it's a bug. Something that should happen that way

Ok, I can see why you think it shouldn't be like this and I have no reason to disagree. But why is it a problem, is it causing trouble during a call if more than one user hit this button?

It doesn't cause problems but it's silly. If you think logically I shouldn't be able to press the hold button when the other person has already held the call. After the call is resumed then I should be able to hold it. All I'm saying is that it's probably a bug - a silly one that is. smile.png
I hope that soon a Skype employee is going to say something about this. wondering.png

Cheers, point noted!

Why it annoys you?

I think it's a feature not a bug.

PS! Even Skype employees have weekends wink.png.

I just don't understand it. How can I be able to hold the call when the other person has already held it?!
And who said that you don't have weekends? wasntme.png giggle.png

Think about situation:
* Other person can not talk at the moment holds call
* during this someone call your mobile, so you can not talk now and you hold the call also.
* During you mobile call other person resumes call and sees that you are holding it and does not get confused as you are not replying to him.
