I have run into a couple problems, using Kubuntu Linux 6.10 & Skype.

Skype Linux Version: 1.3.0.53

1. Both my Linksys CIT400 system and running Skype on Windows picks up all of my Voice Messages, where as my Skype on Linux misses a couple of them. They do not show up in the history.

2. After a reboot or restart of X11, the first call with Skype, my entire system freezes for 5 - 10 seconds. I cant imagine it being the hardware, I am running nice equipment. After that 5 - 10 seconds, I am then able to move the mouse and Skype proceeds with the call.

3. After 15+ calls in a row, Skype terminates without warning. I have to restart it.

If anyone has had similar problems or can help me solve them, please let me know.

Thanks in advance...

I have the same problem, running Ubuntu.
I'm not sure it's limited to the first call after a reboot (or X restart), and it's not always limited to a 5-10 seconds freeze. Sometimes the freeze lasts for 10-15 minutes (after which I get impatient and reboot). The strangest thing (IMO), is that everything freezes (i.e. the mouse, screen updates, keyboard). I have yet to see another application that is able to hang Linux like this...
