I would like to know how many people use Skype in Peru (my country) and also in other countries of latinamerica. Is there a way to get to know this number?

I tried using the contact search feature integrated in Skype software and it returned me only


90 for Peru
90 for Mexico
88 for Ecuador
88 for Colombia
59 for Chile

those numbers are too low.... giving the great advantages that Skype brings

the search only represents a random sample of people from the results so is by no means an accurate indication as you have rightly thought.

I dont know in your countries but in my allmost everybody use skype,but allmost nobody knows how to use it right

In the past (when it wasn't eBay) Skype published the top 20-countries.

And, two years ago a German consultant made an analysis of the Skype usage per country. I had the privilege to receive the data and posted some graphs of it as a guest blogger on Skype-News here.

Sometimes Skype publishes the number of users in some specific countries, but not the smaller ones. Recently they provided some numbers about the USA and Japan. You can find it on my blog.

I wouldn't know even for Belgium how many users there are. The only thing i know: in 2005 we still were in the top 20 ... behind Holland

I don't know much about foreign country, but i know many people use the Skype.
That is convenient for us ...
