Hi, I have got the latest version but the 'start my video' button is missing. Everything else is working fine though. I use it to communicate with my family abroad and they like to see their little grandson

I just cannot seem to get camera working in skype for linux. I really need it otherwise I cant see / be seen and will have to keep using windows for skype

that's a function not scheduled to appear in Skype for Linux before Q3 2008. Just sit and wait and be patient.

Advantage of the very slow development of Skype for linux is that as soon as it has all the functions we are all begging for (video, sms, stability, proper sound quality, support for AMD64 / PPC, etc), it will from then on take another 3 years before all the useless functions that are now put in the windows version (and that will eventually cause everyone to get away from the bloated skype, similar as what happened to ICQ) will show up in the linux version. so we will have a very efficient and usable program for a couple of years.
