Hi people,

I had my Skype SPH200D delivered three weeks ago. This morning a lightning hit my telephone line and now the SPH200D base is humming and on the handheld there is no range signal displayed!

Since I'm a bit in electronics I opened up the base and found that component L10 and component L11 are blown UP! sadsmile.png

Since shipping costed me an eye to get it delivered from UK to Malta, I'm gonna try to fix it. The only problem and the main reason I'm in here is simple! Can someone help me out and tell me what those two components are? From the remaining debris of the components they look like resistors since they are connected directly to the telephone socket and most probably they are the same too.

HELP PLEASE HELP!

I guess they are simple inductors (small coils) to protect agaist lightening. I would probably start by just wiring them out (small piece of fuse 1 amp or strand of wire accross them)

Probably will work.
