Hello there,
I have used Skype Linux for some time now, and had been making SkypeOut calls without any trouble.
But when I tried to make a Skype-Skype call there seemed to be something wrong with the microphone, because the other person wasn't hearing anything. I was playing with volumes and settings and my computer kinda rebooted (my no-break is a bit faulty). When I got back to Skype, the microphone started working and I was able to make the Skype-Skype call.
The next time I had to make a SkypeOut call, though, the microphone wouldn't work. I mean, the other person can't hear me. I have no idea what could be happening.
The weird thing is: the microphone input is turned off and I still hear my voice echo when I speak on it. It wasn't like this before.
Either way, it would be good to make both SkypeOut and Skype-Skype calls work.
I already tested the microphone calling Echo123 and it seemed to be ok.
I'm using the latest Skype Linux version and already tried uninstalling and installing it again. I'm on Ubuntu Edgy. I tried taking a look at the alsamixer thing, but I really have no idea what all those options can do. I do know there's mic 1 and mic 2, and mic 2 doesn't have the echo, but still it doesn't work with SkypeOut calls.
I really need SkypeOut and I hope someone can come up with an idea about what could be the problem.
Thanks in advance.
