I've downloaded the program using but cannot get a connection when signing in. Skype program says 'Unable to connect to the internet. Please check your network settings'. What do I need to do to be connected. I've tried various network connection details via Comms manager / wireless LAN etc. I can use internet explorer ok but so I'm getting access...

I'm getting the same thing on an i-mate jasjam. I can access the web fine (on 3g or wireless) but Skype gets Unable to connect to internet. On the Telstra network in Australia (no doubt running Telstra firmware) if that has anything to do with it....

Ah - fixed my own problem - it was the Telstra Proxy!

the solution is:

1. Go to Programs: Proxy Manager
2. select: Disable Telstra proxy manager
