Greetings all

Is anybody else having a problem with contacts' online status not being updated? My wife, who is currently in the UK and uses on her OS X laptop doesn't see my status as online on her contact list, and I, in W. Australia, running on my Linux box don't see hers either.

Both of us are able to make test calls to echo123 and to make skypeout calls. Both of us have our online status set to "online". And neither of us are blocking each other, despite the fact that we've been married for 17 years.

Any ideas?

Turns out the problem is an undocumented feature in the OS X client, where status is set to "offline" intermittently and without warning. Nice to know the Linux client doesn't have all the bugs. Wouldn't want anyone else to feel deprived.

I am running the latest linux client and sometimes contacts which I know are online show up as offline. I message them and they appear online. Its a problem they had in the windows client 2.5 for a while and I am experiencing it in linux now. Even if I use the win client the office linux machines often report their status incorrectly.

I didn't have this problem until I updated Skype to v3 on both my PCs. Since then I'm frequently getting "Message not yet delivered" notices, online status incorrectly reported, and Skype-In calls forwarded to my mobile even when I'm online. Very frustrating.

I'm seeing the same "Message not delivered yet..." messages. Does anyone have a workaround? Should a downgrade work? It's not just very frustrating, it's extremely frustrating!
