:(MY Skype 1.00.29 instant messages can't be put into punctuation?

Usually one puts punctuation into instant messages, rather than putting instant messages into punctuation.

I can see where it would be difficult to put messages into punctuation, but I have no problem sending punctuation in instant messages.
