A connection fee was recently announced,
http://support.skype.com/?_a=announcements...tails&_i=28I currently make extensive use of rate, precision and duration to log calls to a database (using Skype4COM).
How will the data for the connection fee be implemented in the Skype API?

I too would like to see a solution for this. I need to be able to retrieve the total cost of a call via the API.

Must we 'hard code' the connection fee?
Surely somebody must know of a better solution?

First I must say sorry that I haven't noticed this Forum post. In the light of this, can I suggest that if you have important questions like this one, please file a Jira issue for it as they will always get answers pretty quickly (https://developer.skype.com/jira/secure/CreateIssue!default.jspa)
About the connection fee - as far as I know this hasn't been added to the API yet, but I will ask around more to find out if it's on the roadmap or not. I would also suggest to make a Jira issue for it so that people could vote for it and I would have a better ground to ask the developers to get this done.
Regards
Mirje
