Hi,

my basic config is, windows vista rtm, office 2007 rtm and skype b3.

skype auto starts with the os. after being done with outlook 2007 and thus closing it, skype prevents outlook from being released, i.e. outlook is still invisibly running since skype is still making use of the outlook contacts. shutting down skype first and outlook thereafter would resolve the matter, i.e. outlook just exiting fine.

I believe this is a serious bug in skype, leaving outlook wide open... ...unless skype is intended to work that way - ofcourse I do not mean the feature of using outlook contacts, what I mean is skype to keep outlook open?

cheers

Thanks for the heads-up. I will be playing with Vista RTM and Office 2007 RTM (including Outlook) pretty soon. So, I'll see if I get the same thing. That is definitely an issue that would need to be addressed in a future Skype 3 beta.

It's not just Office 2007, this also happens with Office 2003. Perhaps it's 'by design' but you can always uncheck the 'View Outlook Contacts' option.

yep, seems you are right. switching off this feature did the trick. tkx
