I would like to see a window installed in SkypeOut where one could file NAME, PLACE & PHONENUMBER of personal contacts to have them permanently and quickly on hand for easy calls.

SkypeOut allows to add your own contacts and phone numbers that can be dialed at a click of a button. Go to Tools / Add Contact.

Yes I can store their number for use with Skype out, but I can't have their name associated with the number.

As I have lots of numbers that are very similar it would be nice if I like with my land line phone which I'm considering ditching could find the name click on it and Skype would dial the associated number.

If I'm wrong about what Skype can do pleae let me know.

Works for me.
I just key the Green Plus sign button,
Key a complete phone number in the field, click next
Then in the box on the next screen I key in their name.

This is the linux version and windows version. Can't test on Mac. (No Mac).
